What Personal Information Do We Collect?

When you browse Taboo4U, we collect basic information like most websites do. This includes your:

  • IP address

  • Browser type

  • Language preference

  • Referring page

  • Page you requested

  • Actions you take on our website

  • Date and time of your request

We also track certain events for statistical purposes, such as conversion rates and testing new features or designs.

When you join Taboo4U, we ask you to choose a unique username. If you wish to keep your personal and kink life separate, we recommend selecting a distinct username that is not linked to your real identity elsewhere.

We may also ask for your email address, mobile number, and date of birth:

  • Your email address is used to send you important updates and notifications.

  • Your mobile number helps us verify new members via a one-time text message for community safety.

  • Your date of birth ensures you are of legal age to access our platform.

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and improve your experience on Taboo4U. Unlike many websites, we do not share or sell any member information with third parties. Your privacy matters to us!

How Is My Information Stored?

We rely on trusted third-party vendors and hosting partners for hardware, software, networking, and storage needs. Your data is saved across multiple servers to ensure redundancy, backed up daily, and securely stored in more than one location.

Data Retention Policy

Once you delete your profile, it is no longer accessible to other members, and most of the data is removed within 30 days.

When you delete your account, it will be enqueued for deletion. After 7 days, your account and all associated information (including profile verification data) will be permanently deleted.

Exceptions:

  • Messages sent in group chats and forums may remain, but your identity will no longer be displayed.

  • Contributions to public features like wikis will remain, but your name and avatar will be removed.

If account deletion is linked to account verification, we extend the deletion period by an additional 9 days (totaling 16 days) before permanently removing your data.

Backups and server logs are permanently deleted within 30 days.

Managing or Deleting Your Information

You can view, update, or delete your personal information anytime from your account settings. You also have the option to download a backup of your data through our data export tool. If you are locked out of your account, a data export link is available on the lockout page.

To deactivate or delete your account, simply log into Taboo4U and visit your account settings.

What Information Do We NOT Collect?

If you choose to support Taboo4U financially, any personally identifiable information you provide for transactions will not be stored on our systems—it is solely used to process the payment.

If you are under 18, you may not join Taboo4U. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we discover that an underage individual has created an account, we will immediately delete it.

How Is Your Information Shared?

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade members' personal information with third parties for their commercial use.

However, we may share aggregated, non-identifiable data about how users interact with Taboo4U. For instance, we might compile statistics on daily, weekly, or monthly active users. We do not sell this data to advertisers or marketers.

We will only share your information in the following situations:

  1. To provide the products or services you’ve requested.

  2. To investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, threats to anyone's safety, violations of our Terms of Service, or when required by law.

  3. To verify legal information such as date of birth where necessary.

  4. If Taboo4U is acquired or merged with another company. In this case, you’ll be notified before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a new privacy policy.

How Is My Information Secured?

All data transmitted between you and Taboo4U is encrypted using HTTPS. This ensures your interactions with our website are secure. Profile verification photos are encrypted at rest and can only be decrypted with a secure key.

Other than your password, data is not encrypted while it is live in our database because it must be accessible for immediate use. However, we apply extensive security measures to protect your information.

Database backups are encrypted using industry-standard encryption techniques such as GPG.

How Do We Respond to Legal Requests?

Taboo4U will only share your data if a court order requires us to do so. We reject requests from law enforcement unless they are accompanied by such orders.

If we are required to share your data due to legal processes, we will notify you unless legally prohibited. We are committed to objecting to improper requests for user information.

How Do You Handle “Do Not Track” Requests?

"Do Not Track" (DNT) is a setting you can enable in your browser to limit tracking. Taboo4U does not track your browsing activity across other websites, nor do we permit third-party services to do so on our platform. Because we prioritize privacy, we don’t change our behavior in response to individual DNT requests.
